Plastic is now entering every level of the ocean food chain and even ending up in the seafood on our plates.
Campaigning for cleaner oceans
ISSUE
INSIGHT
Our oceans are filling up with plastic. Greenpeace estimates that 12.7 million tonnes end up in our oceans each year. Big pieces of plastic are choking and entangling turtles and seabirds and tiny pieces are clogging the stomachs of creatures who mistake it for food, from tiny zooplankton to whales. Plastic is now entering every level of the ocean food chain and even ending up in the seafood on our plates.
Over the last 30 years our client has been delivering projects all over the world that aim to protect the environment. In addition, our client has a network of over 10,000 alumni who they want to engage and mobilise. The experience of our client and the network they have created can be combined to create a project that can deliver meaningful change.
